A real Dominican Republic love story!
There is a perk to marrying someone who was born and raised in the DR that those married to Dominicans born in other countries. Dominicans born and raised in the DR are more relaxed and have another mindset.
There are wonderful traits inherent to all people. In a relationship, the key is finding the person whose traits align with yours.
Everything went well until she said that the DR customer service is not the best. I know that she didn’t mean ill and I also know that a lot of people, Dominicans included say the same. However, the Dominican customer service is a Dominican customer serive and saying that Dominican customer service is not the best is saying that Dominicans are not the best. First of all, Dominicans and the island is very laid back and so is the sevice provided. Life in the DR is not about providing service to keep clients but to serve because we want to or to get something. Customer service in the USA, Canada, China, Europe is about keeping customers and their money coming in but in reality their is no real interest in the wellbeing of customers. Dominican customer service is different from that. Therefore, saying that Doninican Rep customer service is not good is putting the contry down. She marrying a Dominican-American highlights her sense of superiority. Although she considers herself spiritual and I don’t doubt it cause we are all spiritual beings, we all manifest it in different ways. This guest has a lot of pride/ego and I bet she has strong Leo or sagittarius energy in her, and there is nothing wrong with that, the issue is when we think that one culture is better than another. She getting products from another country also highlights this ego.
Anya is married to a Dominican and loves the country, the culture and the people. She never meant to insult an entire population, but rather meant to counter a reputation that has developed. There is good and bad service everywhere. We have wonderful businesses here in Punta Cana that provide fantastic customer service, and I hope we get the chance to highlight them all!
Umm. She’s allowed to praise the virtues of DR, but can’t be critical of anything? And she’s right about customer service. People are so laid back here, and it’s reflected in the customer service experience. Nobody ever feels the need to be on time for anything.
@@brads1620 You make a good point. Much of what people think is bad customer service is a difference in culture and lifestyle. Things are much more laid back here!
